Science fiction concept artist/writer/director.

Originally a comic artist, I've been working in the games, industry since 1996, which led into advertising and eventually into film. I was responsible for the co-creation and design of the 2009 movie "Moon" with my friend Duncan Jones. I recently completed numerous starship designs for "Star Citizen", and released my short film "The Last Man" online.

Some game titles I've worked on:

I was heavily involved in the creation and development of the 2009 film "Moon". Sharing a flat with Director Duncan jones at the time, the film was a result of us collaborating for ten years trying to bring a science fiction film to the screen. I was involved in all aspects of the project's development from start to finish. The galleries below feature some of my concept and design work that defined the look and style of the film.

My short film "The Last Man" has finished it's festival run and we're now releasing it into the wild. I wrote, Directed, Production Designed & completed the VFX (with a talented team of rotoscope artists).

 

 

I recently completed contract work designing hardware and ships for the forthcoming game "Star Citizen". Amongst others, my design work included the Gladius, Sabre and F8 fighters.

 

This is the intro cinematic to the 2014 XBox One launch title "Titanfall" that I directed for ReSpawn via Spov.

 

It may come to pass that the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy does not make it beyond Episode 9...

You can't have Star Wars without the Falcon. This is a fictional design brief I set myself to re-design my favourite starship as if the original had been destroyed. I was going for a next-gen feel of a faster version of the classic Corellian light freighter that had a bit of a meaner look to it.

Here are the global launch films I directed for Glue (Isobar) for the global launch of Nokia's Skyway ecosystem. The entire campaign was completed in CG in just under six weeks.
